The Tower of London is one of the most monumental landmarks in the UK down to its history and preservation of the building.
1. impact of the building surroundings lead to building design to be built more upwards rather than outwards this is due to the river being so close next to the Tower of London which minimized the available space.
2.The importance of the hierarchy in Architecture is down importance of the crucial needs of the design such as certain facilities, (bathroom, kitchen, Sleeping area) which would come first before rooms for lounging and relaxation. The difference between a medieval church and Contemporary church would be the the contemporary design would include more of the accessories to the design rather than just the basic needs.
